    The newly formed Office of Grants Management will be a part of the City of Detroit’s Finance Department. It will provide oversight of the City’s grants administration, particularly in regards to financial management and compliance. Early priorities will include maintenance of the grants software system and establishing a good track record for new, streamlined processes. This Office will help restore stability to grants management, which will help decrease audit findings and restore confidence in local government. As the Office gains traction, it will also play a supporting role in securing grants funding for the City, thereby supporting Detroit’s economic growth and development.
