About Us
olitude Farm is a six-acre sustainable farming community located within the international township of Auroville, Tamil Nadu, India. Inspired by Masanobu Fukuoka, the father of natural farming, as well as the principles of permaculture the farm produces a variety of indigenous millets, rice, pulses, oil seeds, and a wide range of fruits and vegetables. We also run an organic restaurant primarily using products grown on the farm in an effort to create a socially and ecologically aware eating space. The overall vision of Solitude Farm is to integrate natural farming, food, and education within a creative and sustainable lifestyle.
