    San Mateo County Sheriff's Activities League (SAL) is a community-based organization that was founded in 1998 by the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office. The Mission of SAL is to build positive partnerships between youth, deputies and communities through purposeful, safe and affordable programs that make a difference. SAL helps to reduce juvenile delinquency by positively connecting kids, law enforcement personnel and the community, and by encouraging good sportsmanship, teamwork, friendship and self-confidence.
