    The NYC Specialized Teacher Enhancement Pathway (NYC STEP) is a district embedded teacher preparation program that aims to increase the number of qualified educators with the skills and competencies to support secondary students with disabilities. The program provides current, certified DOE teachers a full-year, school-embedded training program to leverage their skills and experiences to meet the needs of specialized populations at their schools.
