At Clemson University’s Youth Learning Institute (YLI), we never underestimate one person’s ability to make a positive difference in the life of another. In more than two decades of service, one of the most important lessons learned is that every connection counts—no matter how brief, planned or unexpected. Since its inception, YLI has dedicated every resource and opportunity to making a difference in the lives of others and in the communities where they live, learn, grow and play. From summer camps to field study programs, wellness education to professional development, YLI exists to fulfill Clemson University’s mission of public service and passion for inspiring learners of all ages to not only expand their own knowledge, but to share what they have learned with others.
