    Event: 2nd Annual Rhythms and Movements Festival of African American Culture

    Location: Abrons Arts Center, Lower East Side, Manhattan

    Fee: $2,000

    Ticket Goal: 3,000 tickets

    About the Event:

    The Rhythms and Movements Festival celebrates African American culture through the R3X Project (Revolution Requires Resistance), highlighting poetry, creative writing, visual arts, dance, theater, and music. This event, running from February 12–16, 2025, anticipates 3,000 participants.

    Role Overview:

    The Sales Consultant will develop and execute a strategic plan to meet the event's ticket sales goal. This role requires a results-driven individual with experience in event ticket sales, relationship building, and outreach strategies.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop a comprehensive ticket sales strategy targeting diverse audiences.
    • Identify and cultivate relationships with organizations, businesses, and communities interested in supporting or attending the festival.
    • Coordinate with the marketing team to align campaigns with sales goals.
    • Leverage personal networks and create partnerships to maximize ticket sales.
    • Provide regular progress updates and adjust strategies as necessary.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in sales, preferably in event ticketing or cultural events.
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
    • Familiarity with New York City’s arts and culture scene is a plus.

    How to Join

    The 2nd Annual Rhythms & Movements of African American Culture Festival is a five-day entertainment extravaganza with the theme, Revolution Requires Resistance, and commemorates the 55th Anniversary of Black History Month, February 12–16. The Festival comprises of 14 performances, including four evening performances, six youth shows, 11 featured artist performers,and 100 contributing artists. Audiences will experience an immersive exploration of African American identity and activism through theater, dance, music, spoken word, and visual arts. Our inclusive platform honors the past, reimagines the future, and hopes to ignite change and activism through the transformative power of art.
