KBEC Group, Inc. initially began in 2009 as a work readiness and community-based job training program. KBEC’s vision is to become a boundless organization with innovative approaches to educating and case management, servicing and promoting the rights and dignity of the disenfranchised/ hard to reach residents of the District. Often our city’s young adults are deemed “disenfranchised” or “hard to reach” and lack access to support and effective services they may need to move towards self- sufficiency. KBEC has established itself as a solution by supporting young adults by supporting them in creating their own pathways to brighter futures and self-sufficiency.

KBEC’s Vision: To become a boundless organization with a reputation of educating, servicing and

promoting youth, adults, and families with developmental/intellectual disabilities transition to community living lifestyle resembling their dreams, goals and aspirations.

KBEC’s Mission: To provide innovative, high-quality community-integrations services and supports

to transitioning at risk individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities in an encouraging and sound environment which respects and promotes each person’s right to flourish in their community and live their dreams.
