The Asset Sharing Society Klub (ASSK) is a dynamic new web exchange that allows its members to share, buy/sell, rent, co-own, or barter products they own or services they can render. ASSK gives members the opportunity to unlock the true value of their assets, to communicate with community, to help Earth Rescue and to have fun.

Instead of wasting time and money buying new products with their pollution footprints and landfill destinations, members can simply search the ASSK Bulletin Board for items their community already has for sale or rent or barter. Members can then safely contact each other and discuss mutually agreeable terms.

ASSK was founded on the basic principle that the world has enough new products, devices and gadgets. All this stuff has attendant pollution footprints; manufacturing, transport, packaging, showing and storing. Excessive carbon-based discharges pollute the environment and negatively affect the climate. Most of those products eventually sit idle and unused in our homes and garages. All those products will - sooner or later - get dumped into landfills further polluting Mother Earth. The world can no longer support everyone on the block having a garden tractor, a snow blower, a ski boat etc.

ASSK is a dynamic new community movement that changes consumptive habits and develops positive social interaction by empowering personal action for environmental healing and community fun. Youths will find employment.

ASSK significantly reduces the need for building more of those polluting manufacturing plants by creating a system that gives people a clean, safe and efficient way to re-use products they already own. Rather than buying new products, people can find under-utilized products right in their own neighborhoods. Youths will be employed as brokers to help the process.

ASSK members can post pictures of assets, & stuff to be shared, services available, help that is needed – think of old time barn raising parties. There are many means of interaction: buy, sell, trade, barter, rent or equity sharing. Categories include ride sharing, house sharing, even pet or baby sitting and granny sharing. (Old people are attended for their wisdom stories.)

Everyone wins: people can find local cost-effective products & services; people can earn extra money by getting value for the un-used products while sponsoring community interaction; Earth’s precious eco systems begin to heal.

ASSK will launch in Portland, Oregon in August, 2014. We salute the folk of Portland for supporting many progressive actions which are both community minded and Earth-hearted, and for acting locally and thinking globally.

Our Pledges: ASSK will donate 50% of net profits to Earth Rescue efforts, and to become a world voice to empower the next superpower; everyperson.
