    ScrapDogs Community Compost is a food scrap collection and composting service founded in 2018 with the goal of diverting food waste from landfills and incinerators, and strengthening the local food system in Maine. ScrapDogs is based in Rockland and composts in Washington, Maine, and currently serves communities along the coast from Belfast to Wiscasset, and along the Kennebec River from Waterville to Hallowell.


    The ScrapDogs team is small-but-mighty, and made up of folks dedicated to building zero-waste systems, healthy soils, and community - and having fun doing it!
