Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Human Resources is responsible for directing all the people functions of the Covenant House Greater Washington (CHGW) in accordance with the policies and practices of the CHGW, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, benefits, staff care and wellness, learning, talent development and succession planning. He/she also is responsible for the strategic human resource planning to provide the CHGW with the best talent available and to position the agency as the employer of choice by being aware of the policies, practices, and trends specifically relevant to Covenant House International and DC law.
The ideal candidate will be a mission-driven, detail-oriented, and organized professional with exceptional interpersonal communication skills, as well as stellar time management. Additionally, they will have a deep commitment to Covenant House Greater Washington’s mission of serving youth, ages 18-24, who are experiencing homelessness, disconnection and exploitation in the DC area.
