About Us:
Roots Gaming Network (RGN) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to training underserved communities in game development. We create workshops, career programs, and community-building events in order to create economic empowerment for our audience. As we grow, we need your help to secure the funding that will empower our mission and expand our impact!
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Fundraising Volunteer to support us in developing our fundraising efforts. This role includes researching and applying for grants, helping plan and implement fundraising and capacity-building campaigns, assistance in building our donor base, and finding ongoing sponsors.
Responsibilities:
Research and identify potential grant opportunities
Write, edit, and submit grant proposals
Help plan and execute fundraising campaigns to build our capacity and expand our reach
Track and manage grant submissions and reporting timelines
Collaborate with our team to develop creative fundraising strategies
Qualifications:
Proven track record of successfully securing grants and fundraising
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail
Ability to commit at least 3 hours per week
Familiarity with grant submission platforms (e.g., Submittable, Good Grants)
Interest or experience in the tech, gaming, or nonprofit sectors is a plus!
