Mission. The NWF’s mission is to honor and preserve the history of women’s contributions to social justice and inspire the next generation to continue the fight. It will:
- Promote the preservation and understanding of women’s history and civic participation including collaboration with the community and other organizations with related missions.
- Educate the public concerning the achievements and contributions of women in our society and promote social justice and democratic values of respect, tolerance, inclusion, and conflict resolution.
- Help preserve the Whittemore House–and related art and archives–a focal point of women's history in the District of Columbia for more than a century.
