    About the Role: As the Culinary Program Manager, you'll be at the heart of our Club’s food program, serving dinner during the school year and breakfast and lunch during the summer. You'll develop creative, healthy menus, manage inventory and costs, and prepare snacks and catering for Club events. Your work will directly support our mission to promote healthy lifestyles.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Launch and Energize: Build and lead our first internal food program, serving 225-250 meals daily during the school year and more in the summer.
    • Menu Development: Create fresh, healthy meals that kids and teens will love while adhering to CACFP, SFSP, and ESE guidelines.
    • Food Safety: Develop and monitor a comprehensive food safety and allergy plan.
    • Compliance: Ensure all meals meet Department of Education and Board of Health regulations.
    • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and review them weekly with your supervisor.
    • Educational Integration: Incorporate cooking and nutrition education into the Club experience.
    • Kitchen Management: Keep a spotless kitchen, manage orders, and maintain inventory.
    • Teaching: Lead cooking and nutrition classes for our members.
    • Supervision: Oversee and evaluate kitchen staff.
    • Collaboration: Participate in meetings, evaluations, and media engagements as needed.
    • Adaptability: Take on additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.

    Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or GED required.
    • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
    • Culinary certification/expertise preferred.
    • Knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation.
    • ServSafe certification or the ability to become certified.
    • Passion for healthy food and health-promotion.
    • Strong communication skills and interest in youth health and culinary education.
    • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
    • Experience working with children.
    • Organized, reliable, and flexible with Clubhouse hours.
    • Valid driver’s license required.
