SPIN will provide curriculum, technology training, and professional development in classroom management and culturally responsive pedagogy. Ideal candidates will bring a desire to work with kids and a willingness to learn! We value lived experience and a STEM background is not a requirement for this position - CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT is the key to success.

    • Take part in Youth Program Quality Assurance process to continue to improve SPIN programming in collaboration with Baldwin and Seattle Parks & Recreation

    PREFERED SKILLS:

Experience working with low-income students, included but not limited to Title 1 schools, and a familiarity with the unique gifts and needs of this population.

Even if you feel like you do not have all the necessary requirements please reach out anyway! We would love to speak with you!

    • Must be able to commit to the Fall and Winter schedule (through December). Substitutes are not readily available.
    • Must be able to pass a Seattle Public Schools background check, which may include fingerprinting

You may request reasonable accommodations at any time. The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Those who supervise other staff, those who work with minors and/or other vulnerable populations either inside or outside of the organization, and those who have access to the organization’s funds will be asked to complete a background check. A criminal background will not automatically eliminate you from consideration.
