    Description

    The Choice, Inc is excited to manage a long-term employment opportunity for our nonprofit client, a prominent conservation advocacy organization.

    The organization has identified this role as an important hiring need due to growth of the organization. They will facilitate this role as a contract opportunity until Fall 2025, as they evaluate the potential for FTE next year.

    The Associate Director of External Affairs will work with the Strategic Communications division to develop and execute an executive communications plan focusing on CEO visibility, including stakeholder engagement, PR & earned media, and internal communications.

    The ideal candidate will have/will be:

    • At least 6 years of experience writing and editing content for senior executives
    • Experienced in speechwriting and the development of key messaging and thought leadership content
    • Interest or previous experience working in the environmental advocacy space a very large plus.

    Responsibilities and duties will include:

    • Assist in developing and executing CEO and executive communications plans that drive organizational goals.
    • Draft speeches, talking points, presentations and briefing materials for public events and media engagements.
    • Support CEO social media strategy, coordinating closely with the social media team, including creating a social media calendar and drafting social media posts as needed.
    • Research and recommend speaking and networking opportunities for the CEO
    • Coordinate with the Office of the President and Human Resources to support internal communications
    • Managing calendar for CEO and executive communications, coordinating closely with the Office of the President.
    • Coordinate vendor support of executive communications

    Schedule: 32-hour work week, M – F with flexible remote work options. Must be fully available during core business hours.

    This organization does require verification of Covid vaccination. Candidates must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19.
