About Us
The Louisiana Bucket Brigade works in communities situated near oil refineries and chemical plants, empowering residents to scientifically monitor their own air quality and work for pollution reductions, community health, and environmental justice. This is accomplished by gathering air pollution data through the use of sampling devices such as the EPA approved "bucket," conducting health studies and publishing information on the affects of chemicals on health, and strategic use of the media publicity to hold polluters accountable and push for change.
