About Us
Urban Green Council’s mission is to transform buildings for a sustainable future in New York City and around the world. We help New York City and State develop cutting-edge policy, we educate a broad range of professionals, and we research solutions that are amplified through coverage in major publications like The New York Times. By working with both government and industry, we leverage our effectiveness.
Urban Green pursues activities that have scalable impact: We focus exclusively on buildings, which account for 66 percent of New York City’s emissions, and 52 percent of NY State’s.
