Tri-City Community Action Program (Tri-CAP), founded in 1978 is the anti-poverty agency for Malden, Medford, Everett, and surrounding communities. Tri-CAP's mission is to work with all sectors of the community to help prevent poverty and to address issues which cause poverty or occur as a result of people living in poverty. Tri-CAP provides direct social services, education, advocacy and community organizing to help low income people meet their basic needs, assert their rights and plan for a better future. The agency is divided into three divisions: Advocacy and Community Services, Energy Services and Children and Family Services
