About Us
Baltimore de la Guadeloupe is an association of people originally of Guadeloupe descent, linked together by a common heritage, slavery in the West Indies and a family name Baltimore. We are connected to other Baltimores around the world such as the Baltimore of Antigua and Barbuda and the Baltimore of the US and Canada and obviously the Baltimore of France since a lot of us are French citizen Guadeloupe being an overseas department since 1946, after having been a French or a British colony from the 17th century to WW2.
Our action is mainly linked to history and genealogy and we're trying to organize for August 4, 2019 a family reunion in Bouillante, Guadeloupe.
We believe also in sharing knowledge and organize workshops in genealogy, cooking, dancing, art, etc http://www.baltimore-guadeloupe.fr
