Career Path
What was your first job after college and how did you get it?
AmeriCorps. I heard President Clinton speak about AmeriCorps and sought out a program in Atlanta to apply to.

How did you get your current job?
Definitely networking and making sure that in my previous jobs people knew who I was, what I was about, and the quality of my work.

What experiences and/or course work in college best prepared you for this job or influenced your decision to do this work?
I have an undergraduate degree in education, but have never taught within the confines of a school syatem. I feel as if I still have a naive, "way it should be" theoretical viewpoint of public education. My education background and my interest in the nonprofit sector kind of merged in my present position.

Any regrets? What experiences and/or course work might have better prepared you for this work?
None

Have you attended graduate school or are you considering graduate school? What degree do you have/would you want and why? Are there any limitations to advancement in your field if you do not have a certain graduate degree?
Attended graduate school
