AmeriCorps. I heard President Clinton speak about AmeriCorps and sought out a program in Atlanta to apply to.
How did you get your current job?
Definitely networking and making sure that in my previous jobs people knew who I was, what I was about, and the quality of my work.
What experiences and/or course work in college best prepared you for this job or influenced your decision to do this work?
I have an undergraduate degree in education, but have never taught within the confines of a school syatem. I feel as if I still have a naive, "way it should be" theoretical viewpoint of public education. My education background and my
interest in the nonprofit sector kind of merged in my present position.
