A Day in the Life
What are three things you love and three things you find challenging or frustrating about your work?
Love:
1.  Working with students
2.  Feeling that you are making a difference
3.  It's never boring; there's the ability to be creative

Challenging or frustrating:
1.  Lack of support (from administration, district, parents)
2.  School politics
3.  Poor, struggling families

What is the most important task on your desk right now?
To provide an engaging learning environment for all of my students and be an advocate for change and/or school reform.

What drives you to do this work? What makes you want to get out of bed every morning?
Working with an amazing group of beautiful children who are thrilled about learning.

How often do you "dress up" for work? Describe the culture of your organization.
A dress code is not enforced. I dress semi-casually, on the professional side, although I see teachers in Raider jackets and sagging jeans.

In a typical month, about what percentage of your time is spent on the following activities?
Talking on the phone 1%
Dealing with email 1%
Meetings with individuals 10%
Meetings with groups/committees 15%
Traveling
(not including weekends or vacation time)
1%
Writing 2%
Reading 5%
Researching 5%
Other: w/students 60%

What do you do when you are feeling burned out at work?
I have to be doing exercise on a weekly basis, but it is really hard since all I really want to do is crash at the end of the day.
