Description:

Our Drop in Resource Centre is a safe space where people infected or affected by HIV/AIDS comes for support and to meet others who are living similar situations. Our volunteers can expect to facilitate group discussions, provide one on one support for our members, promote services and events, make referrals, and help us in the running of the centre. Cleaning, mopping and helping in the kitchen are to be expected from all drop-in volunteers; these activities are essential for the functioning and maintaining of the drop in and also in providing a pleasant environment for clients.

As a drop-in volunteer, your main responsibility is providing support for clients. Maintaining and keeping the drop-in as a pleasant, clean and safe environment for the clients and the other volunteers and staff to use is also the responsibility of the drop-in volunteer.

Hours and Commitment:
A minimum of 4 hours/week for minimum a six months
(Monday from 12pm to 9pm: afternoon and evening shifts, Tuesday to Thursday from 12 to 5pm)
