This group is start support for children who suffer the simultaneous effects of being abused by their parent along with the effects of that parent being incarcerated. As of now, these children are not recieveing support.

How do we help tomorrow's adults today?,
We start by ensuring that all children receive financial and emotional support in order to grow up with ability
-to thrive on life
-to achieve happiness, without the use of drugs and alcohol to numb their pain
-to build lasting relationships
-to have an idenity within themselves
-to believe in themselves and others
-to trust themselves and others
-to dream and achieve
-and to simply laugh, love, and live

There so many abused children today that will not receive what they need to heal. Often one parent will be left to face the reality of the trauma on the family, while the abusing parent gets three meals a day, a bed, counseling, clothing, education, and no responsibilty (except incarceration) to pay for the trauma and abuse they caused.
The resultant effect is a gutwrenching heartache.

The victims of this situation are NOT currently receiving any financial support. While they are often traumatized to point that school and work are just another impossible dream of normalty that they don't feel they fit in to.

Often these families end up in Project Housing where they will be subject to even more crime and drugs... They will want to fit in somewhere.

Their future would stand a chance if they received financial support an wrap around services. The trauma left on these families is more like quick sand to a tiger, and is too great for one person to help the family heal and provide for them at the same time.

These families are LEFT OUT when it comes to financial support and services to fit their unique needs, while the number of children and families in this situation grows more every day.
