Description:

Attention ALL ladies with a minimum of a bachelor degree:

Having graduated from college are you still feeling that you missed out on something?

Did you know that it is not too late to become a sister of LTA?

Lambda Theta Alpha is looking for strong, dedicated ladies who are interested in joining an organization that can provide them with professional development, opportunities for community service, and most importantly, sisterhood.

A little bit about the sorority…

Lambda Theta Alpha is the first Latina-based or multicultural sorority in the nation. It was established at Kean University in Union, New Jersey in December 1975 by 17 founding mothers of diverse backgrounds. While we started as a Latina-based sorority, we are not
exclusive! We are open to ladies of all backgrounds. We have sisters that represent more than 150 ethnicities including every country in Central and South America. Diversity is something we cherish. But we keep "Latin Sorority" in our name to pay homage to our roots. Back in 1975, there were no multicultural or Latina sororities. There were just mainstream and traditionally African-American organizations. Our sisterhood is a lifetime
commitment that we take very seriously. With more than 100 chapters across the United States and Puerto Rico, we are constantly growing. Our sisterhood offers love and a home wherever you may go. It offers a network of professional women to aid you in career, personal and life endeavors.

As a woman that has already graduated from college you may wonder what the benefits of joining a sorority at this stage in your life are. As a professional or someone continuing to work towards your dream career in graduate school you will have the opportunity to network with sisters from across the country in your field of interest. Many sisters have taken advantage of this opportunity and have been able to get their foot in the door at many large corporations that they may not have been able to had it not been for a sister they met. Also, as you get older you may miss the bonds you had with some of your friends in high school and college. Being a part of a sisterhood that lasts a lifetime will give you the opportunity to recreate those types of bonds and build strong friendships with women who have the same values as you.

We currently have a listserve for ladies in Texas who are also interested in Lambda Theta Alpha. Please write back and let us know if you are interested in our organization. If so, we will invite you the join the listserve and we can move forward in the journey of expanding Alpha Gamma Graduate Chapter of Texas.

Thank you and we hope to hear from you soon....
