What is a Volunteer Profile?
Answer:
A Volunteer Profile is a searchable description of yourself, your interests, and your volunteering availability. It allows all organizations and groups listed on Idealist to find and contact you if they feel you could be of assistance on their various projects.
Update 7/20/2009 At this time, we are no longer allowing the creation of new volunteer profiles. In the coming months we will be launching a new version of Idealist.org with additional and improved features for connecting with others as a volunteer.
