Idealist.org: Volunteering Fair:

The Idealist.org Global Volunteering Fair is generously hosted Harvard University’s School of Public Health and sponsored in partnership with the Harvard Graduate School of Education, John F. Kennedy School of Government, and Harvard Divinity School.

What’s happening at the fair:

Individuals considering volunteering in another country can learn more about programs and global opportunities offered by several nonprofit volunteer-sending organizations.

Workshops on topics like international volunteerism 101, determining whether to go abroad with a program or independently, how to overcome potential cultural or physical barriers to international service, volunteering globally as a family, international opportunities for skilled volunteers, and connecting service with learning while studying abroad.

The fair is free for individuals to attend. The fee for nonprofit volunteer-sending organizations to reserve a table is $300. (Please click “Registration” in the section for Volunteer-Sending Organizations in the box below.)
