In many states, an association of nonprofits provides management assistance, group buying, insurance, advocacy on behalf of the sector and other services of value to member organizations. Many of these associations are members of the National Council of Nonprofits; members of the National Council can be found at http://www.councilofnonprofits.org/salocator.

To find information for a specific state, scroll down in this file. If the state is not listed, that means we have not heard of any general-purpose nonprofit support organization there.
