My name is Lauren. I am 20 years old. I attended Sarah Lawrence College and plan on transferring to a new school eventually. I enjoy learning but I am in no hurry to resume a traditional education at university. I can get a degree whenever I choose but I will not be young forever. Volunteering will become more difficult with age due to increased obligations etc. The experiences I have abroad will also greatly influence my future study plans; the perspectives I gain will be invaluable.

Now for some unrelated information pertaining to my personality… I am a vegetarian (5 years now) and an animal lover. After attending SLC I lived in NYC for a few months. I miss it a lot; especially the energy there. I temporarily live with my parents and two sisters (9 and 17 years old). Faith (the 9-year-old) was born when I was 10. This age gap provided me with an extensive knowledge of children/childhood. It’s strange to imagine my life without her.

I paint/draw in my free time. Currently I have two different jobs as a waitress so spare time is difficult to find (I’m trying to save money for travel and student loan payments). I love theatrics in general and anything that interests me visually. I love bright colors and as a result my clothing rarely matches. I am expressive and semi-eccentric at times. I am a very messy…I can do most things aside from keeping a clean room. I enjoy discussion/debate and looking at issues from various perspectives. My favorite food is the potato in any form. I also love sauces and dips of all kinds…sodium is my friend. I also drink way too much caffeine but I am functioning and that’s what counts. I suppose there is more but that is enough for now. I have no idea who will be reading this so I hope it wasn’t supposed to be professional…
