"I believe the basic tenets of the initiative are correct and that the project could have a very positive impact. The emphasis on 'libraries' and 'stores' demonstrates an awareness that information and resources are two primary tools for the empowerment of the disadvantaged and marginalized. I think the idea of setting up local 'community points' might be misguided if it does not promise to focus on the grass roots and to understand that individual chapters might be serving communities with different needs. The basic premise of Idealist is very strong, but its more ambitious, local initiatives ought to be vetted for efficiency."
