Mission:

The mission of CAA is to defend and promote the civil and political rights of Asian and Pacific Americans within the context of, and in the interest of, advancing multiracial democracy in the United States.

Since its founding in 1969, Chinese for Affirmative Action (CAA) has pursued two overarching goals: empowering our community through increased political and civic participation while advancing multiracial collaboration and dialogue. To those ends, CAA has developed strong service and advocacy programs locally and regionally and has entered the national debate on critical issues for our community, such as Census policy and broad-based discrimination. CAA advances its work primarily within three broadly defined programs: (1) Employment; (2) Education; and (3) Empowerment.
