Mission:
My consultant services include managing projects and program replications; program design and development; facilitating Board development and strategic planning; training staff on adolescent sexuality, positive youth development and, most recently, trauma-informed care; and writing reports and grants.
I hold a Masters in Public Health from Hunter College and have worked in the nonprofit and public sectors with and on behalf of youth and their families for over twenty years in numerous capacities for a diverse range of creative and committed organizations. In addition to after and summer school programming, I have worked with society’s most marginalized youth, including those living on the streets, in residential treatment, foster care, or and long-term confinement. My managerial experience includes Executive Director of the AIDS and Adolescents Network of New York; Teen Services Director for Project Reach Youth; opening a Beacon Community Center for five hundred youth and families in Fort Greene, Brooklyn; and, most recently as Executive Director of an agency dedicated to helping incarcerated youth to re-enter their communities.
