Description:

The Annual Giving Manager is primarily responsible for managing the direct mail and online solicitation and stewardship of unrestricted gifts for the Annual Fund. The position will be key to achieving the Newberry’s goal of growing the Annual Fund substantially beyond its current level of $1.35 million as part of a comprehensive campaign. Reporting to and supporting the Director of Annual Giving, this individual will be part of a small but dynamic Development team and will work with Library staff as well as interact directly with donors.

Additional Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
·3+ years experience working with a successful Annual Fund program;
·Knowledge of fundraising best practices;
·Superior organizational skills and attention to detail;
·Excellent writing skills;
·Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure to meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy;
·Expertise with Microsoft Office software applications, especially Excel and Word
·Experience with The Raiser’s Edge software strongly preferred;
·Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with colleagues and donors.
·Ability to work evening and weekend hours as needed.
