Description:

Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation is interviewing immediately to hire a Case Manager/Counselor who will provide case management, counseling and supportive services to all pre-GED program participants. The Case Manager will work closely with a job developer and job readiness instructor to achieve program outcomes. Duties associated with the position include conducting initial intakes and assessments of new program participants, working with participants to develop individualized employment goal plans, provide intensive case management and counseling per week for two classes, refer participants to appropriate training, education and support services, track participants' progress in achieving specific goals, and provide job retention support services.

Additional Qualifications:

Candidate must have BA, BS or BSW, 2(+) years experience as a case manager in a direct job placement, vocational skills training or welfare-to-work program, knowledge of job training, education and social service referral resources, bilingual (English/Spanish) both written and oral REQUIRED, excellent written and oral communication skills, proven strength in computer skills, proven ability to multi-task projects with flexibility and ability to work well under pressure, proven time management and organizational skills.
