Description:

The Coolidge House, a pre-release program of the Community Resources for Justice, seeks a Case Manager to join the current Case Management team.

Successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of 25 residents including: conducting initial orientation with residents and introduce them to program guidelines, coordinate resident contact with outside resources and agencies, develop and monitor residents’ individual program/treatment plans; regularly meet with each resident to discuss progress of program requirements, personal goals, release planning, review of finances (wages, subsistence payment, budget, savings and other financial obligations) and discuss, review or help with weekly schedules, handle passes and weekly itineraries; communicate extensively with contracting agencies to discuss various aspects of each resident’s program plan; maintain ongoing communication with service coordinators, vocational counselors, family members as relevant to the continued progress of each individual in the program; schedule regular resident counseling sessions, supervise, set limits, control and structure accountability for clients, provide monthly information to other program staff for management, employment and planning purposes, complete release paperwork and closing summaries as each resident is released from the program.

Secondary Responsibilities: provide front desk coverage, answering telephones, track resident movement while outside of the building, dispense medication, oversee drug/alcohol testing procedures, attend weekly/monthly meetings and trainings, provide on-call pager coverage. Perform other job related projects and activities as requested or directed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS preferred. Knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn Contracting Agencies regulations and rules with an understanding of Federal Bureau Of Prison’s Statement of Work. CPR and First Aid are required. Working knowledge of “Reality Therapy” or other treatment modalities and knowledge of resources in the Greater Boston area. Strong communication, interpersonal and sound judgement skills are needed to deal with a diverse resident/client population. Minimum of one year of counseling experience. CORI & NCIC clearance required.
