Jane Smith
Volunteer Coordinator
The Everytown Zoo
100 Main Street
Everytown, NY 11111

Dear Jane,

My name is Sarah Jones, and I am the human resources coordinator for the local children’s museum. I found your name and address in a local directory of nonprofit organizations, and I’m writing to you in your capacity as the volunteer coordinator for the local zoo. Like me, you may feel passionate about your organization and committed to the mission. Yet, as I do, you may also struggle with limited financial resources, the difficulty of finding older volunteers, the lack of affordable training for staff, and a complicated organizational structure. Or, your challenges may be completely different.

But whatever your challenges are, I hope you’ll join me and other local nonprofit coordinators of paid and unpaid staff for lunch at John’s Italian Restaurant on Friday, June 12th, from 12:30-2:00 pm. I have invited over 15 of our peers in the community, and it is my hope that this will be the first of many lunch meetings. In fact, I hope to begin a local network of nonprofit human resources professionals who regularly gather and share resources with each other.

But, let’s begin with lunch! A reservation has been made at John’s Italian under my name “Sarah Jones” for June 12th. Please RSVP and let me know whether you can attend, or if you are not interested at this time. Please call or email me with your RSVP, and with any further questions you may have.

My telephone number: 888-888-8888
My email address: fakeaddress@fakechildmuseum.org

Jane, I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Sarah Jones
Human Resources Coordinator
