  • About Us

Pardada Pardadi Educational Society is a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Annupshar tehsil, Bulandshar district, Uttar Pradesh, India. PPES has created a model of sustainable rural development through women's education, empowerment and employment.

Our model of rural development focuses on 4 initiatives, all of them linked to gender empowerment and leading complementarily to development:

Value-Based Education: Over 1400 girls attend school, receiving 3 free meals a day, books, uniforms, bicycles, health care and 10 rupees for daily attendance in a bank account they can access after graduation. Our graduates are going on for higher education opportunities, receiving scholarships and loans. Several graduates have received US Embassy scholarships to attend school in the US.

    - Community Development: Over 4000 village women are members of Self-Help Groups, participating in health and hygiene education programs, microbanking and lending, and livelihood programs, including a Dairy project.

    - Employment: PPES employees graduates and village women in the Textile Production Department, incense making project and staff positions at the school.

    - Health and Hygiene Program: PPES has been providing quality health care to students since 2012, and community health camps, through the support of US donors and volunteers. Prana Medical Clinic opened in 2016, expanding health care facilities for students, PPES staff and villagers. Our center is staffed by a full time nurse and two part time doctors, and includes a pharmacy. Health and Hygiene education is a part of the school curriculum, as it is leading to an improved quality of life for all.

Improving girls' and women’s knowledge and skills transmits to younger generations. Education, job creation, and improving health and hygiene are the first steps towards increasing the quality of life in this traditionally patriarchal society.
